Prior to using Resy in your restaurant, we recommend doing a quick initial set-up to customize your device. In this article, you'll find how to set-up Default Messages to quickly text guests, create custom guest and visit tags, and turn on our elapsed seated time feature: 

Add Guest and Visit Tags 

Guest Tags live on a guest profile indefinitely (ex. neighbor, gluten allergy, regular, etc), and Visit Tags live on a unique reservation (ex. birthday, anniversary, etc).

To add Guest and Visit Tags: 

  1. Click your Restaurant Name in the top left corner 
  2. Click Settings 
  3. Click Tags
  4. Click Add New 

Turn On Elapsed Seated Time

When seating a guest on the floorplan, you'll see the time the guest was sat on the table. Enabling the Elapsed Time feature will allow you to see the time elapsed on a seated reservation.

  1. Click your Restaurant Name in the top left corner 
  2. Click Settings 
  3. Click Floorplan
  4. Toggle ON "Show Elapsed Time on Seated Reservations"

Turn On "Prompt to Assign Table After Booking an Unassigned Reservation"

You'll be prompted to assign the reservation to a table when this is toggled ON. 

  1. Click your Restaurant Name in the top left corner 
  2. Click Settings 
  3. Click Reservations
  4. Toggle ON "Prompt to assign table after booking an unassigned reservation"

Turn On "Show Reservation Visit Notes"

You'll see Visit Notes directly in the Reservation List when this is toggled ON. 

  1. Click your Restaurant Name in the top left corner 
  2. Click Settings 
  3. Click Reservations
  4. Toggle ON "Show reservation Visit Notes on reservation list"
