The Resy Slots feature is available for restaurant partners on our 360 and Full Stack monthly service plans. If you'd like to consider an upgrade please contact your Resy Account Manager or chat Resy Support.

Use Slots in Resy To:

  • Build 'Manager Slots' to more clearly designate manager holds on your shifts
  • Offer a unique experience at a specific time on your tables keeping the rest of the table as standard service throughout the shift
  • Update your shifts to exclusively use slots to manage your reservations

Setting up Slots in the Resy Dashbaord

You can build and manage your slots from the Dashboard

For recurring shifts:
1. Click Service
2. Click Shift Settings

For a single day:
1. Click Service
2. Click Calendar

3. From the shift editor, navigate to Step 3 Availability 

4. At the bottom of the availability page click 'Customize by Time and Slots' to open the detailed availability view

5. You'll see the Base Availability tab, where you set the underlying availability for your tables, and will access the slots editor by clicking the 'Slots' tab on the top right 

6. From the slots editor, hover over the time you’d like to create a slot on the desired table. You'll see a '+' icon appear and you can click the icon to add the slot. 

7. When you've added a new slot, a side panel to the left will open up allowing you to chose the details for your slot addition. Select the min/max party size, online vs in-house & add the 'manager slot' attribute (only in-house slots can be designated as manager slots)

6. Click 'Update Availability' in the bottom right corner and then 'Update Shift' to save.

Customize by Slot in the Resy Dashbaord

Through the Dashboard, you have the ability to 'customize by slot'. This gives you the option to edit specific details to one or more of the slots on your shift. 

For recurring shifts:
1. In the Dashboard click Service
2. Click Shift Settings

For a single day:
1. In the Dashboard click Service
2. Click Calendar

3. From the shift editor, navigate to Step 5 'Custom Policies'
4. Select 'Customize Slots'

5. Check off one or more slots to customize and click 'Next' in the bottom right corner

6. From here you can edit every attribute of the selected slots

  • Edit the 'Reservation Name' to label the experience to your guests online
  • Adjust the turn time specific to the selected slots
  • Add payment for a pre-paid experience
  • Apply a cancellation fee policy
  • Customize the language your guests will see when making a reservation on the selected slot

7. Click 'Save' in the bottom right corner and then 'Update Shift' to complete.
