Food Bank of the Rockies
We can accept large quantities of perishables, industrial sized containers and items rotated out of inventory. Donors contributing in good faith are protected by the Good Samaritan Law. Contact our Operations Department or download this brochure (PDF) for more information.
We Don't Waste
We Don’t Waste was founded in 2009 in an effort to address these important issues. Today, we are one of the largest food recovery organizations in Colorado.
We Don't Waste focus's on perishable items including fresh produce, lean proteins and dairy products. Supplement food provided by food assistance programs with fresh food reclaimed from our food donors. This allows the recipient organizations to consistently serve the hungry with healthy and wholesome meals without increasing their operating costs.
Community Ministry has a self shopping food pantry so that clients can choose their own food within certain guidelines. The amount of food they may choose is designed to be a week’s worth of groceries varying in size based on the number of people living in the household. Community Ministry follows nutritional guidelines consistent with its food pantry partners.
Feeding Colorado distributes food to people facing hunger through direct service programs like mobile pantries, senior boxes and child backpacks, and in partnership with hundreds of carefully selected local nonprofit food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and community centers. Recipients are never charged for the food they receive. Every county in Colorado is served through the Feeding Colorado network.
