Visit Tags and Guest Tags are an easy way to keep guest profiles and reservations up to date. 

  • Visit Tags: Live on a particular reservation only. Examples include Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation, etc. 

  • Guest Tags: Live on a guest profile indefinitely.Examples include Regular, VIP, friend of house, Nut Allergy, etc. 

How to Create a New Guest/Visit Tag

  1. Tap your Restaurant Name in the top left corner 

  2. Tap "Settings

  3. Tap "Tags"

  4. Tap "+ Create ___ Tag

  5. Enter the Tag Name

  6. Select the Tag Type

  7. Tap "Create Tag

    *Optional: Toggle on 'Notable Tag' if you want the tag you're creating to be highlighted on the reservation list when applied to visits and be printed on your chit.

    • Allergy/ Dietary restriction, Dietary preferences, and Identification tags will be shared with your Venue Group.

    • Relationship and General tags will be venue specific

*Please Note: You can tap on any tag that your venue has created then tag 'Delete Tag' to delete it. You can also tap on a tag your venue has created to edit the tag. You are not able to delete or edit a tag created by Resy.

Ways to Add Tags to Guest and Reservation Profiles

  • Both Guest and Visit tags can be added when booking the reservation in the Booking Module while viewing the guest profile

  • Both Guest and Visit tags can also be added by tapping the reservation on the timeline or floorplan view

  • Guest tags can also be added directly by searching a guest on the guest book, tapping their profile, and adding from there.

Guest

Adding a Guest Tag from the Booking Module

  1. Tap the plus sign to the right of "Guest

  2. Tap "Guest Tag"

  3. Tap the tags you want to add

  4. Tap the back arrow on the tag pop out once done selecting to close and continue booking the reservation 

Adding a Guest Tag from the Guest Book Profile

  1. Tap your Restaurant Name in the top left corner

  2. Tap "Guest Book"

  3. Enter the Guests Name, Phone Number or Email Address or tap 'Create New Guest' if the guest doesn't have a profile yet.

  4. Tap the plus sign to the right of "Guest"

  5. Tap "Guest Tag"

  6. Tap the tags you want to add

  7. Tap the back arrow on the tag pop out once done selecting to close and continue booking the reservation

Visit

Adding a Visit Tag from the Booking Module

  1. Tap the plus sign to the right of "Visit

  2. Tap "Visit Tag"

  3. Tap the tags you want to add

  4. Tap the back arrow on the tag pop out once done selecting to close and continue booking the reservation

Guest and Visit Tags can be added from the Reservation Profile

  1. Tap the guests name on the Booked List

  2. Tap the plus sign (+) to the right of Guest/Visit

  3. Tag Guest/Visit Tag

  4. Tap the tags you want to add

  5. Tap the back arrow on the tag pop out once done selecting to close and continue booking the reservation

Please Note: Guests can add their own Occasion, Allergy or Dietary Restriction Tags, and Special Requests to their profile when booking on Resy.com or the Resy App. A lock icon will appear next to those tags to indicate the guest added it.
