The following are basic widget installation instructions. Note that all website are built differently and we are not always able to provide step by step instructions.

How to Access your Widget Code

  1. Log into the Online Dashboard

  2. In the top left corner, click on the bar graph icon

  3. Select > Venue

  4. Select > Widget

  5. Click > Get API Key

  6. Enter your email address

  7. Click > Get API Key

  8. Copy the code in the Code Box (that is your widget code)


  1. Navigate to your Squarespace page:

  2. Navigate to the page you'd like the widget (you can install the widget on as many pages as you'd like)

To add the Resy Widget:

  1. Tap the + on the top right corner of the screen OR when hovering over the section you're going to add the widget

  2. Select > Code

  3. Remove the sample code in the block

  4. Paste the widget code you

  5. Click “Apply”

  6. To preview the widget click --> Preview in Safe Mode

  7. Save

To remove a previous widget

  1. Click on the box with the widget you'd like to remove

  2. Tap the trash icon to delete


The standard widget code is not fully supported by Wix and will not work as expected. To ensure a properly installed widget follow the steps below:

Create a Button

  1. Click the plus sign on the left side navigation bar

  2. Select > Button

  3. Click on the Button of your choice

  4. Resize, center, and customize the button however you’d like

  5. Rename the button

  6. Click the link icon and add the url to your page

Insert Footer Code to open Widget
Be sure to alert your implementation specialist and they will provide you with a custom footer code.

  1. Go to Settings in your site's dashboard

  2. Click the Custom Code tab under Advanced Settings

  3. Click + Add Custom Code at the top right

  4. Paste the code snippet in the text box

  5. Enter a name for your code
    Tip: Give it a name that is easy to recognize so you can quickly identify it later. Ex: Resy Widget

  6. Select > "All Pages" under Add Code to Pages:
    This adds the code to all of your site's pages, including any new pages that you'll create in the future. Select to load the code on each page opened. This will ensure that any future buttons you add will open the widget.

  7. Choose where to place your code: Select > Head

  8. Click Apply


  1. Navigate to the your Bentobox page:

  2. On the left hand side of the page > Select Integrations > Scroll down to Reservations

  1. Click “Connect” next to Resy
    If you have another reservation platform that is connected, disconnect that platform first.

  1. Enter the API Key and Venue ID in the designated boxes

  2. Save and Close

Where to find your API Key and Venue ID:

Both codes can be pulled from the widget code generated on the Online Dashboard
API Key - Long string of numbers and letters in parenthesis
Venue ID: 4-8 digit string in parenthesis

Go Daddy

The Resy widget is not compatible with Go Daddy. We recommend adding a direct link to your page.
