Availability

Reservation availability is based on the attributes (online, in-house, or walk-in access) you assign to the table or table combination on the floorplan in your shift.

Table Attributes

Tables can be set to one or more of the following attributes:

  • ONLINE: Tables set to 'Online' are available for booking by guests through Resy.com, your widget or website and through the Resy diner app.

  • IN-HOUSE: Tables set to 'In-House' are available to book in-house through the ResyOS. For example, reservation taken over the phone or in-person.

  • WALK-IN: Tables set to 'Walk-in' are NOT available for booking online or in-house and allow you to decide how to use the table in the shift. For example, you have patio tables that are weather dependent and you do not want them booked ahead of time but can choose to assign day of.

  • SELECT: Tables set to 'Select' are only available for booking online and are only visible to guests that are Resy Select Members and participating restaurants.

  • MIXED: Tables that have 2 or more table attributes assigned throughout the shift are referred to as mixed.

Edit Availability for a Recurring Base Shift

  1. Visit the Resy Dashboard.

  2. Click the graph icon in the top left corner.

  3. Select 'Service'.

  4. Choose the 'Shift Settings' tab.

  5. Click the three dots icon next to the shift you'd like to edit and choose 'Edit Shift'.

  6. Click 'Step 3 Availability' on the left hand side of the shift editor.

How to update Availability by table or room in the shift editor:

  1. Select Online, In-House, or Walk-in for the Table Type

  2. This will make all tables with that Table Type the same attribute

  3. You can also tap on the carrot, to the left of the table names, to assign an attribute to individual tables.

Please Note: The 'Mixed' attribute cannot be selected, this only indicates tables have a MIX of availability settings throughout the shift. (Tables that have 2 or more attributes assigned throughout the shift will automatically be designated as 'Mixed'.)

How to assign different availability attributes for different times on a specific table throughout the shift:

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on 'More Customization'

  2. From here you'll see a list of your tables on the left side along with any table combinations you have in place.

  3. Click on the 15 minute increments you'd like to assign an attribute to and select from the table attributes on the bottom of the screen to assign.

  4. When you're finished click "Update Availability" in the bottom right corner to close out the window.

  5. When all edits to your availability are complete, click "Update Shift" in the bottom right corner of the shift editor to save your changes.

Edit Availability for a Single Day or Shift

  1. Visit the online Resy Dashboard.

  2. Click the graph icon in the top left corner.

  3. Select 'Service'.

  4. Choose the 'Calendar' tab.

  5. Click on the date you'd like to edit and select 'Step 3 Availability'.

  6. When you've completed a 'single day edit' you'll see the edit reflected on the calendar date.
