**You now have the option to set cancellation policies by party size instead of by shift or table.**

*   Add a cancellation policy to your reservations to help reduce no shows
*   Edit cancellation policies from the dashboard to adjust the price and cancellation time frame

_Due to local regulations, Quebec restaurants will no longer have the ability to set a cancellation fee policy as of March 21, 2023, and the “Cancellation Fee” toggle is disabled within OS Shift Settings._  
  

**In order to have a Cancellation Policy or Prepaid Reservations you are required to add your banking information in your** [**Transaction Settings**](https://helpdesk.resy.com/en_us/managing-transactions-settings-for-us-partners-BJIGq7ju_)**.**

First, you’ll log in to the [Resy Dashboard](https://os.resy.com/portal/login) preferably using a Chrome browser.

1.  Click “Service” and then “Shift Settings”.
2.  Go into all active shifts, click the three dots on the top right corner, select “Edit Shift”.
3.  Scroll to "Step 4 Reservation Settings".
4.  Toggle on "Cancellation Fee".
5.  Select the button next to "Large party cancellation policy for party size ranges".
6.  Use the decrease (-) and increase (+) buttons on both sides to define your large party size. 
7.  Complete the rest of the cancellation policy details (cancellation deadline and fee amount).
8.  Click "Update Shift" to save this update. 

**Please note**_:_ 

*   _The policy is charged per person and not per table_
*   _This policy can only be applied to a shift and cannot be customized by table in Step 5_
*   _If you have a policy in Step 5, the policy created in Step 4 will override it for all tables_

  

**\*Please Note:** If you'd also like to set up a policy for your smaller party sizes (i.e 1-4 ), you'll first need to set your large party size. Then, click the button that says "Add a cancellation policy for \_-\_ guests".
