You can now integrate Resy OS and your restaurant's POS system to unlock the automatic course status feature including appetizer, entrée, and checked dropped. This new feature saves time during service and keeps your front of house staff better informed on what’s going on in the dining room. POS Integration is now available for Platform and Platform 360 restaurants and includes:  

To qualify for automatic table status, restaurants are required to be on our Platform or Platform 360 package and depend on your POS system and region.  
POS Integration is available for **Platform** and **Platform 360** restaurants and includes:   
  **Check matching**: gives insight into your guest's past visits and provides the opportunity to offer a more personalized experience for future dining.   
  **POS reporting**: includes sales forecasting which will uncover forecasting, sales trends, and guest insights.   
   **Automatic Course Status:** course and table statuses are now automated, which gives your front of house staff a clear picture of the dining room and what course each table is on, resulting in more accurate quote times.

### Get Real Time Course Statuses 

*   You will need to schedule an installation call with our POS partners, Rooam, to integrate your POS system with Resy OS. *   You will need to provide remote access to your POS system so that Resy can pull up your menu and work with your team to assign each ‘menu group’ status as either appetizer, entrée, or dessert.
    *   You can create new and edit existing menu items because each menu item belongs to a ‘menu group’ that will map directly to your corresponding course statuses.

*   When a menu item from a mapped category is input to your POS system, the status of that reservation in Resy OS will automatically update to the corresponding course: appetizer, entrée, and dessert. 
*   When a check is closed in your POS system, the status of that reservation in Resy OS will automatically be updated to check dropped.

### **FAQs**

**What are menu groups?** 

The Menu in your POS system is organized by Menu > Menu Group > Menu Item. Real Time Course statuses are mapped to Menu Groups rather than individual menu items because, while your individual items may change frequently, menu groups are relatively consistent. For example, 'Snacks' is a menu group, and breadsticks, arancini, and antipasta are menu items.

**What happens if I change my menu or add new items to my POS?**

When you edit or add an item to your POS, ensure it is mapped to its corresponding menu group; either Appetizer, Entrée or Dessert. As long as the item is mapped to the correct group, Real Time Course statuses will automatically update in Resy OS.
