Quick Set Up
- You'll want to match the number of outposts you have with your current table-management system. For example, 1-2 iPads at host stand and 1 in office, per restaurant.
- The Resy Billing Portal can be found at billing.resy.com. This is where you can view and manage invoices, update payment methods, and more.
Build Your Restaurant
- Prior to using Resy in your restaurant, we recommend doing a quick initial set-up to customize your device. In this article, you'll find how to set-up Default Messages to quickly text guests, create custom guest and visit tags, and turn on our elapsed seated time feature.
- You can make changes to the tables on your floor plan or create a new floor plan from your computer or iPad in the Resy OS app. Please note: You can to adjust Single Day Floor Plan on Resy OS. Learn more about single day floor plan edits here.
- Your Venue Settings includes important information about your Resy listing, along with your Transaction Settings and Widget installation information.
- You can create new shifts or make changes to your existing shifts in your Service Settings in the Resy Dashboard. Change hours, reservation availability, table access and pacing for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner shifts.

Customize Your Restaurant
- If you are hosting any prepaid inventory on Resy, you will need to enter in your banking information and set up your Sales Tax Rates on the "Transaction Settings" tab.
- Resy has simplified the check delivery and payment experience. Now, your diners can pay their checks on their phone via QR code, and even choose to pay with Google Pay, Apple Pay, and eligible American Express Membership Rewards® points towards their meal.
- Cancellation fees are NOT automatically charged. They are manually processed by you in the Resy OS App. Click here to read about how you can manually charge guests a cancellation fee.
- Prepaid reservations work best for a prix-fixe menu or experience where the cost is the same for each guest. Guests can prepay for their experience online or your staff can take payment over the phone.
- Create and manage events with Resy to generate revenue and create unique culinary experiences for your guests. Create General Admissions events for things like backyard BBQs and NYE parties, or choose Assigned Seating events for wine dinners and chef collabs.
- Custom Surveys allow for more in-depth feedback and access to third-party rating sites(Facebook, TripAdvisor, Google, etc.)
- Make updates to the emails guests receive when they book at your restaurant. Edit language for the Confirmation, Cancellation and Reservation Change emails. Click here for a detailed view of the standard Resy email content.
- Exclusive Booking allows you to allocate online reservations to a select group of guests. One or more of your VIP, Concierge, and Guest tags can be used to create an online channel where only guests with those tags will be able to see those reservations. These channels can be applied to your tables in the availability section of your shift settings.
